PIERCETON - Pierceton Elementary School held its annual spelling bee recently for all volunteering fifth-graders.
The rounds continued until four spellers remained. These four spellers maintained their positions through four rounds of challenge words.
The competition ended with Ben Hyden as the school's spelling bee champion, and Heaven Ousley as runner-up.
The winner will progress to the county spelling bee in Warsaw.
