Husky Trail Engineering Services Notice To Proceed Issued

Posted
Engineering services along Husky Trail are expected to begin next week.
These services will include surveying, utility locations, right of way locations and additional information-gathering activities.
Warsaw was awarded $2.4 million in federal funds for the reconstruction and expansion of Husky Trail.
The city was given a notice to proceed March 22 for contractor A & Z Engineering, Fort Wayne, to  begin engineering services along Husky Trail next week, according to Jeremy Skinner, city planner.
Residents are advised workers may need to come onto their property to complete work.
Adjacent residents will be mailed letters early next week notifying them of the work being done, Skinner said.
The project will focus on improvements to the existing road design and construction including major intersection improvements, street lighting, sidewalk, curb and gutter and storm water control that will be addressed during preliminary design work.
The three-year project will include engineering this year, right of way acquisition in 2014 and construction beginning in 2015.
