Brett Hickman of Static Multimedia stated, “There’s a feeling that anything can happen in Hurt’s music, that this is a band that intends on turning people’s expectations on their collective ear and making them do what they command. The fact that they elevate the cliché hard rock genre as much as they do here would indicate that great things are in store for the band as well as for their fans.”Wince claims that Hurt’s music has the power to save lives: “I know that’s not unfounded because people have written to the band and told me that.” Wince also claims that their music also saved his own life, “I’m compelled to do it. I have no other functionality in this life.” Hit songs include “Rapture,” “Falls Apart,” “Ten Ton Brick,” “Loded” and “Wars.”
