WABASH – Huey Lewis and the News will arrive in Wabash and take the Honeywell Center stage Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. The concert is sponsored by Rettig’s Industrial Supplies and associate sponsor Yellowbook360.beyond yellow. Formed from two rival Bay Area bands in 1979, Huey Lewis and the News play a brand of straight-on rock and roll that has outlasted countless trends, selling more than 20 million albums and earning two Grammy Awards along the way. The group still performs around 100 shows a year, sharing hits that include “Heart of Rock & Roll,” “I Want a New Drug,” “Stuck With You,” “Doing It All For My Baby” and “The Power of Love.” In 2010, the band released “Soulsville,” a tribute to the music of Stax Records and other songs from that period. Opening for Huey Lewis and the News will be musical artist Mikial Robertson, from Anderson, Ind.
