ROCHESTER - Howard R. Hart Sr., 76, of 727 E. 9th St., Rochester, died at 2:42 p.m. April 6, 2010, in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

He was born July 22, 1933, in New Britain, Conn., to Frank and Mary Pac Hart. On Feb. 7, 1959, in Southwick, Mass., he married Joan Bell, who survives.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Hood Milk in Massachusetts and Farm Bureau Co-Op, Rochester. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and was active at the Senior Center.

Also surviving are four children: Mariam Hart, Florida; Howard R. Hart Jr., Rochester; Pam (and spouse Mike) Frush, Warsaw; and Paul (and spouse Anne Hart) Macy; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Pat Van Gilder, Maryland; and three brothers: Francis (and spouse Jenny) Hart, Donald Hart and Bill Hart, all of Southwick, Mass. He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Plainview Cemetery, Macy, with military graveside services by member of Rochester American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Zimmerman Bros Funeral Home, Rochester.
