LIGONIER – Howard L. Moser, 76, Syracuse, and Ocala, Fla., died at 11:15 a.m. June 18, 2015, at IU Health, Goshen Hospital, after a brief battle with lung cancer.
 He was born May 30, 1939, in Ligonier, to George and Pauline Moser. On June 11, 1967, he married Sharon Byrd Lawson, who survives.
He served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked in the trucking industry as a driver and then in management with Kidd & Co and Quality Drive-Away.
 Also surviving are two sons, Kirby (and spouse Anne) Lawson, Warsaw, and Howard Lee (and spouse Annette) Moser, Fort Wayne; one daughter, Karen Sue Moser, Syracuse; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five brothers; George B. (and spouse Sharon) Moser, Elkhart; Gregg (and spouse Diane) Moser, Stockton, Calif.; Richard Moser and Kent (and spouse Janet) Moser, all of Ligonier; and Brent (and spouse Cindy) Moser, Pewamo, Mich.; seven sisters: Marlene (and spouse Gerald) Kimmell, Winona Lake; Carolyn (and spouse Jimmy) Ridenour, Middlebury; Phyllis (and spouse Vernon) Paler, Kauai, HI; Thelma (and spouse Wayne) Bryant, Lafayette; Gwendolyn Dallman, Ligonier; Dorothy (and spouse John) Feltner; Hazard, Ky.; and Denice (and spouse Jim) Apple, Syracuse; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of longtime friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Carl, and one sister, Diana.
 After cremation a family graveside service will be held at Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier, with a military honor guard.
No calling is planned.
The Yeager Funeral Home, Ligonier, is entrusted with arrangements.
