ROCHESTER - Howard E. Meyer, 82, of 906 Arthur St., Rochester, died at 4:07 p.m. Dec. 14, 2007, in Life Care Center of Rochester.
He was born March 3, 1925, in Fulton, to Alvin and Ollie Rush Meyer. In 1946, he married Vivian Zartman, who preceded in him in death. On June 14, 1975, in Rochester, he married Mary M. Bumgardner, who survives.
He lived most of his life in Fulton County, and spent many winters in North Fort Myers, Fla. He was a tool & die maker for Delco Electronics, Kokomo, for 21 years. He was a member of the United Auto Workers 292, Kokomo.
Also surviving are a daughter, Dana Wise, Kewanna; a son, Michael (and spouse Vicki) Meyer, Rochester; a stepdaughter, Marilyn (and husband Roger) Thompson, Milford; two stepsons, Ronald (and spouse Marlynn) Zartman and David (and wife Ruth) Zartman, all of Milford; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson and two brothers.
Services will at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Don Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
