GOSHEN – Howard E. “Harv” Sellers, 87, of Syracuse, died July 7, 2013, in his residence, with his wife, his dog Riley and his caretaker, Cathy Flinckinger, by his side.
He was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Maplewood, Ohio, to Roy J. and Loretta Griffin Sellers. On July 4, 1982, in Las Vegas, Nev., he married Karen Linville, who survives.
He was a longtime area resident and owned Sellers Manufacturing Inc. from 1962-2010.
Also surviving are three daughters, Susan McClish and Debra I. Kuhn, both of Syracuse, and Christine “Tina” A. (and spouse Robert) Reid, Goshen; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, LoaAnn Dahl, Syracuse, and Barbara (and spouse Sam) Bontrager, Lake Wales, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Ruth Sellers; a son, Larry Sellers; a daughter, Kathy Sellers;  stepson, Mikel Peters; three brothers, Marvin, Jesse and Charles Sellers; and a sister, Glendora Madlem.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with Anjenette Hasse officiating. His body will be cremated.
Calling is from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
