HOW Offering Free Weatherization Workshop

Posted
Housing Opportunities of Warsaw is offering a free hands-on weatherization workshop to the public.

The class will be Jan. 17 at 4:30 p.m. at Kosciusko Community Foundation, 102 E. Market St., downtown Warsaw.

"The cold weather has arrived, and we all are concerned with the rising costs of our energy bills," said Brandie Hamman, weatherization program manager.

The class will teach people how to install products in the home that will air-seal hidden areas that let drafts come into the home resulting in higher utility bills. Tips on how to reduce electric bills will be discussed.

Everyone who attends the class will be eligible to receive a weatherization kit at no cost with the energy saving products that they have learned about during the class.

People are advised to RSVP to Hamman at 574-269-7641.

The program is funded through the Kosciusko County Community Foundation and United Way of Kosciusko County.
