Fire caused extensive damage to a house on Beaver Dam Lake Tuesday night. Burket Fire Department responded to the 9:45 p.m. call with full assistance from Silver Lake Fire Department. Burket Fire Chief John Tucker said the fire "had a good head start on us" when firefighters arrived on the scene. Nobody was home at the two-story house owned by Dawn Maes, 9642 S. Back Lane, off CR 750W, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation and Squad 70, the county's fire investigation team, has been called in to help determine the origin of the fire. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
