Foundation for Intercultural Travel, a State Department designated exchange visitor program, currently is matching international students, ages 15-18, with host families in this area. Families of all types are eligible to host, from retired couples to single-parent families to two-parent families. All have enjoyed hosting an international son or daughter.
Students arrive approximately one week before school's start date, and bring their own spending money for clothes, entertainment and other expenses. They have their own medical insurance.
Host families agree to include their student as a family member. There are one semester, as well as full academic-year, students available. All students speak English, and will arrive from Germany, Brazil, Denmark, Spain and various other countries.
