Hoovers Qualify For Reno Air RacesFather-son duo Alan Hoover (L) and Brian Hoover (R) have qualified to compete at the 51st National Championship Air Races in Reno, Nev. this weekend. Brian Hoover, pilot for Biomet, is the Primary Race Pilot with Alan as Backup Pilot. Racing Friday and Saturday in the three-day competition, Brian will be flying “The Whip”, a Pitts, single-seat, bi-plane that he named in honor of his grandfather, Colonel R.H.
