In honor of Veterans Day, Mrs. Studebaker’s fourth-grade class at Pierceton Elementary School wrote letters thanking active-duty U.S. Army men and women for their sacrifices.
Letters and a care package including many of the soldiers’ favorite American treats, including beef jerky, chips, cookies and candy, were sent to a U.S. Army unit from Texas that is designated in harm’s way and stationed in an Afghanistan.
The army unit is on a one-year tour of duty and is scheduled to come home in July.
