Honorary Deputy HulkIt isn’t every day that a sheriff gets the opportunity to swear in a new deputy, especially a superhero. Elkhart County Sheriff Jeff Siegel had the honor of meeting with Lou Ferrigno Friday while Ferrigno was visiting Elkhart County for the Hall of Heroes Comic Con event. During their visit, Siegel swore Ferrigno in as an honorary sheriff’s deputy. “We greatly appreciate having Lou Ferrigno as our guest and as an ‘incredible’ honorary deputy!” Siegel said. Ferrigno, 71, is best known for his title role in the CBS television series “The Incredible Hulk” (1978 to 1982) and vocally reprising the role in subsequent animated and computer-generated incarnations.
