Honor An Educator During Teacher Appreciation Week

Posted
Let the Warsaw Education Foundation help you recognize your special educator during Teacher Appreciation Week by participating in the Honor an Educator Program.
The special Honor an Educator tribute packages are available through April 22.
This gift for an educator provides you the opportunity to show your appreciation for their work in the classroom, on the field or court and at after-school activities, according to a press release from WEF.
With a contribution to the WEF in honor of any of Warsaw Community Schools’ educator, the Foundation will send an Honored Educator pennant and engraved pin for workplace display and your personal note to the honoree. Educators can include teachers, bus drivers, secretaries, custodians, principals, cooks, school nurses or volunteers within WCS. Members of the community are invited to thank a friend or neighbor who is an employee of WCS.
Warsaw Community High School seniors may want to consider a tribute to an educator who has helped or encouraged them during their WCS career. WCS staff members may want to consider a “thank you” to a fellow staff member who has been a mentor to them or assisted them in some way. Retired teachers and staff may wish to offer words of encouragement to their former co-workers.
Honor an Educator packages will be delivered to recipients during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4 to 8.
Donations will be used to help fund the Red Apple Grant awards, which are monetary grants presented each year to Warsaw educators for projects that advance enrichment opportunities, provide innovative and inventive teaching, and promote academic exploration in WCS. The Foundation also relies on gifts to help fund the NEW Opportunities Workshop, WCS’ chess tournaments, WCS Summer Enrichment Camp scholarships and the Partners in Education school/business mentoring programs.
A community non-profit organization, the Foundation champions academic innovation and excellence in Warsaw Community Schools, the release states.
