WABASH - Six new shows were recently added to the Honeywell Center's 2009 line-up.
Tickets for 38 Special, RED, Sandi Patty's Yuletide Show, Jim Brickman Christmas Show, Colin Mochrie & Brad Sherwood's Third Annual Farewell Tour and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Holiday Pops went on sale Tuesday.
WRSW welcomes 38 Special to the Ford Theater Aug. 27 at 7:30 p.m. The classic rock band has sold more than 15 million albums since its inception in 1975 and boasts multiple US Billboard number one hits, including "Caught Up in You" and "If I'd Been the One."
Sponsored by Vohne Liche Kennels, the show begins at 7:30 p.m. with tickets priced at $19 and $38.
98.9 The Bear will welcome RED, the Grammy-nominated Christian alternative rock band. RED takes the stage Aug. 29 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $19 and $39. RED's most recent album, "Innocence & Instinct," debuted in February with the No. 15 place on the US Billboard 200 chart, and in April the band won "Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album" at the 40th Annual Gospel Music Association's Dove Awards.
Sandi Patty, winner of five Grammy Awards, will visit the Honeywell Center with her Yuletide show Nov. 29 at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $18, $28, $38 and $75. The Gospel Music Hall of Fame star has won 39 GMA Dove Awards and four Billboard Music Awards, and has had three Platinum albums and five Gold albums.
The Roberts Group will present the Jim Brickman Christmas Show Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. Brickman has revolutionized the sound of solo piano with his pop-style instrumentals and star-studded vocal collaborations. Tickets for the piano sensation's performance are $24, $39 and $55.
On Dec. 12, Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood bring the "Third Annual Farewell Tour" of comedy to the Ford Theater. The two comedians, known for audience participation in their impromptu show, are the stars of ABC's television show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" The show begins at 7:30 p.m., with ticket prices set at $19, $34, $48 and $75.
The Fort Wayne Philharmonic presents its annual Holiday Pops Concert Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by First Farmers Bank and Trust, the concert will feature the orchestra performing holiday music favorites.
