Honeywell Center Announces Seven New Shows

WABASH - Seven shows recently were added to the Honeywell Center's concert bill.

Tickets for Uncle Kracker, B.B. King, Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance", Purdue Varsity Glee Club, Late Night Catechism, An Afternoon with C.S. Lewis, and the Dinner and Chamber Music Series go on sale Oct. 26 at 8 a.m.

Mi Tunes 101.9 welcomes Uncle Kracker to the Honeywell Center. Best known for his hits "Follow Me," "In A Little While," "Drift Away" and most recently "Smile" from his new album "Happy Hour", Uncle Kracker will make his way to Wabash, sponsored by Grandstaff Hentgen Funeral Service, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $16, $28 and $50.

Legendary bluesman B.B. King serves up the classic blues sound he's famous for when he arrives Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $28, $48, $68 and $100.

Sponsored by Bippus State Bank, Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance" comes to Wabash Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. Based on Irish folklore, this classic tale of good versus evil continues to draw record crowds. Tickets are $19, $29 and $45.

The Purdue Varsity Glee Club, sponsored by North Central Co-op and CountryMark, arrives at the Honeywell Center Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Under the direction of Bill Griffel, the group averages 50 to 60 appearances each year. Tickets are $10, $15 and $25.

Late Night Catechism will perform two shows March 18 at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12, $18 and $25.

An Afternoon with C.S. Lewis comes to the Ford Theater March 27 at 2 p.m. Actor David Payne captures the essence of the man who created the Narnia Chronicles. All tickets are $12, groups of 20 or more get a $2 discount per ticket.

The Dinner and Chamber Music Series, sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank, features three evenings of wonderful entertainment and a gourmet dinner prepared by Chef Harry.

Beginning Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. with the Ball State Musical Arts Quintet, the faculty resident Woodwind Quintet is one of the nation's oldest and most distinguished chamber ensembles of its kind.

The second performance features Tim Noble and Friends March 8 at 6 p.m., showcasing a program of operatic arias and show tunes. Dr. James Giles, renowned piano professor at Northwestern University, rounds out the series with several of his graduate students April 26 at 6 p.m.
