WABASH - Five shows are coming to the Honeywell Center this month, just in time for Christmas.
Tickets for Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers, "Annie", Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic are still available.
WWKI will welcome Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m., sponsored by The Ford Meter Box Company. Their career has spanned four decades and spawned more than a dozen Top 40 hits, including "Denver," "She Used To Be Somebody's Baby" and "The Lady Takes A Cowboy Every Time." This show will feature their classic country hits as well as Christmas music. Tickets are $19, $29 and $75.
On Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m., the Wabash Valley Music Association presents the Broadway hit "Annie". Boasting one of Broadway's most memorable scores, including "It's the Hard-Knock Life," "Easy Street," "N.Y.C." and the ever-optimistic "Tomorrow," Annie is a theatrical experience for the entire family. Tickets are $20, $35, $45, with a half-price discount for students through high school.
Coming Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m., Mochrie and Sherwood bring their "Third Annual Farewell Tour" of comedy to the Ford Theater, sponsored by Pefley's Farm Equipment and DRP Company.
Mochrie and Sherwood, stars of the Emmy nominated "Whose Line Is It Anyway?," have teamed up to present an evening of improvisational comedy. Using their quick wit, Colin and Brad take contributions from the audience to create hilarious and original scenes - just like a live version of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Throughout the evening, the show becomes truly interactive as audience members are called to the stage to participate in the fun. Ticket prices are set at $19, $34, $48 and $75.
Taking the Ford Theater stage Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. will be Ernie Haase & Signature Sound's Christmas Tour, sponsored by North Central Co-op.
Winners of two 2008 Dove Awards for their second DVD release in the categories of Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year and Southern Gospel Album of the Year for "Get Away Jordan," the group has also been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. Tickets will be $12, $18 and $25.
On Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. the "Holiday Pops" will come to the stage, sponsored by First Farmers Bank & Trust. Now performing in its 65th season, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic returns to perform this annual family favorite holiday concert, including the popular sing-a-long.Tickets are $15.
