Homemakers To Give Away Quilt

Posted
Kosciusko County Extension Homemakers will give away a quilt at the fair again this year. They also will be giving a bag, a toss pillow and four placemats. Those items will be on display in the Home and Family Arts Buildings all week at the fair along with all the "open class" exhibits.

The quilt is a queen-sized piece by Betty Bowen and quilted by Geneva Veasy. It is purple, beige and green.

The bag was made by Mary Miller and is "green." It has many pockets for all your things and includes an umbrella.

June Thomas made the toss pillow, which is burgundy and green appliqued onto a natural color homespun fabric.

The reversible placemats were donated by the Golden April Extension Homemakers Club and are embroidered with gold and brown on beige fabric.

These items will be given away the evening of July 11. You need not be present to win.

Anyone can enter the open class exhibits. Entries are due between 7 and 10 a.m. Monday. A book with the information can be picked up at the fair office or the Extension Office in the courthouse.
