Spring is only two weeks away and many people are suffering from severe cases of spring fever. The Home, Lawn and Sport Show may be the cure.
The show is designed to prepare everyone for home remodeling, planting, landscaping and other spring and summer activities. It opens Friday in the former Wal-Mart building, U.S. 30E. Hours are: Friday, noon to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults over 16; 15 and under are free.
This year's show is the largest ever, with 147 booths and 140 vendors. The most refreshing area may be the section on spring featuring blooming flowers and landscaping. The large in-ground pool displayed outside also will help get you in the mood for warmer weather.
The primary sponsor of the show is the Builders Association of Kosciusko-Fulton County, so you can expect many displays related to building, remodeling and repairing homes.
Last year's venue allowed only 50 vendors; the largest previous show was at the former Owen's store (now Sav-on) with 72 display booths. Carol Huffer, executive director of the Builders Association said, "We're so excited about the location and size of this year's show."
