Home A Total Loss After Tuesday Morning FireThe cause of a house fire Tuesday morning at 407 N. CR 450E, Warsaw, remains under investigation.
The property is a total loss, according to Pierceton Fire Department Lt. Nathan Rhoades.
He said the call came in at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday. Either a neighbor or a passerby reported the fire.
The home was a double-wide house that had several additions on it with a wood-burning furnace.
The homeowner is Adam C. Pamer, according to county records. Rhoades said no one was at home at the time of the fire. However, when the homeowner, who was at work at the time on the other side of Plymouth, learned of his home being on fire, he returned home, Rhoades said. He used a loader truck to remove debris so firefighters could get to the hot spots.
The wind blowing out of the west fueled the fire.
No injuries were reported.
Along with Pierceton Fire Department, responding to the scene were North Webster, Warsaw and Leesburg fire departments with Sidney on standby. An estimated 20 to 25 firefighters were on scene. Firefighters were there for approximately four hours.
