Hollar Headed To Wheaton CollegeWarsaw Community High School senior Bennett Hollar has announced his intentions to attend Wheaton College and play golf for coach Kent Moore and the Thunder.
Hollar, a four-year varsity letterman for the Warsaw golf program, has had a tremendous career and hopes to continue this path as the Tigers prepare for this year’s state tournament.  The senior has reached the state finals each of the previous three seasons with the team, as the Tigers finished 18th his freshman season, 11th his sophomore season and seventh in the state last year.
He was also a part of two sectional team championships, one regional championship, and four conference championships, including three undefeated seasons.
Hollar holds a career average of 39.9 in nine hole-matches, he was named to the All-Northern Lakes Conference squad this season and was selected as honorable mention last year as a junior.
While Hollar has demonstrated a sharp eye and a knack for reading greens, his efforts and proficiency reading textbooks has been very remarkable as well.
The senior has amassed an incredible 13.24 GPA on a 12-point scale while enrolled in numerous honors and advanced placement courses, and he ranks sixth in his class of 453 students.
Hollar plans to study chemistry at Wheaton.
