No hogs were injured in an 8:10 a.m. hog barn fire Wednesday on West Summy Road, Leesburg, but the barn is considered a complete loss, according to an Atwood Fire Department spokesman. About 80 bales of hay were in the barn. The property is owned by Duane Harman. The fire was caused by an electrical problem. AFD was assisted at the scene by Nappanee, Plain Township and Etna Green fire departments, with approximately 40 to 45 persons on the scene. Above, a hog appears to be checking out the fireman's technique. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
