The Kosciusko County Community Foundation Inc. and the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department announced the 2007 recipients of the Phillip D. Hochstetler Scholarship Fund as Michael Robinson and Marilyn Park.
Robinson is a 2007 graduate of Triton High School and plans to study criminal justice at IUSB. Park, a 2007 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, plans to study in the same field at I.U. Bloomington.
The Philip D. Hochstetler Scholarship was established at the Kosciusko County Community Foundation with a gift from the Sheriff's Department donation account.
Hochstetler was a detective for the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department. On June 29, 1994, he was shot and killed in the line of duty while investigating a burglary in Warsaw.
Scholarships from the fund are awarded to Kosciusko County students who plan on attending college to study criminal justice.
