Hinder Show To Headline Fair Tonight

Posted
A nearly picture-perfect day weather-wise welcomed steady crowds of people into the Kosciusko County Fair Wednesday.

Around 4,000 people filled the grandstands Wednesday evening to watch country artist Kellie Pickler.

Tickets are still available for tonight’s Hinder concert.

The fair’s entertainment director Mike Loher said he was told that somebody posted on Facebook that the Hinder show was cancelled.

“That is wrong,” said Loher.

Tickets can be purchased before the show tonight at the fairgrounds.

Attendance has been steady to 4-H events, and food sales remain brisk as well.

Bob Harkness, from the Leesburg Lions building, said sales have been comparable to prior years.

Long lines stretched outside the Beef and Pork Producers building for most of the night.

Jose Malagon, who owns Gapos Tacos, said his truck on the midway at the fair gets busier every year.

Malagon said he’s been coming to the fair for about five years, and that each year people come back.

“I remember all the old customers who keep coming back,” said Malagon.

Malagon won’t have time to rest for long after the fair as he is gearing up for Downtown Days.

Today is Symmetry Day and Scouting Day at the fair. It’s also Farmers Day and Truckers Day.
