BURKET – Hildabell Holloway, 89, of Burket, died at 4:40 p.m. Oct. 10, 2012, in Life Care Center, Rochester.

She was born Oct. 10, 1923, in Rochester, to Clarence Ray “Tom” and Rosa Bell Carr Emmons. On Aug. 31, 1940, in Rochester, she married Charles A. Holloway, who died Aug. 14, 2008. They were married for 68 years.

She was a homemaker and retired from DePuy, Warsaw, after 17 years. She also was a leather crafter for many years. She spent a lot of time in her younger years around the fish hatcheries of Rochester that her father was manager of.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty J. (and spouse Oscar) McCloughan, Akron; a son, Tom (and spouse Bonnie) Holloway, Akron; seven grandchildren: Steve and Rex Holloway; Anita Wright; Shelly Sausman; Diance Lance; Susan Hoffman; and Lisa McCloughan; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to service Saturday.
