SYRACUSE - Hilda Druckamiller, 71, rejoiced with our Lord Oct. 25, 2010.
She was born May 4, 1939, in Boston, Mass., to George and Hildegarde Sidow Oberle. She married Jefferson Byrde Vangundy Sr., who preceded her in death. She then married Norman Druckamiller, who preceded her in death.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Corsicana, Texas. She was a very devoted and strong Christian woman. She was a gift from God and a blessing to those who knew her. To measure the love she gave to her children and grandchildren is to imagine all the stars in the sky and magnify them a thousand-fold.
To everything there is a time and a season for every purpose under Heaven. Ecclesiastes: 3.
Surviving are two sons, Jefferson B. Jr. (and spouse Teresa) Vangundy, and David (and spouse Jeanette) Vangundy; a daughter, Lynn Tesmer; grandchildren: Lauren Tesmer, Kelcey Vangundy, Michael and Brian Pickett, Stacey (and spouse Brock) Bales; great-grandchildren: Taylor and Riley Bales and Saylor Smith; sisters: Louise Read, Geraldine (and spouse Roy) Stangeby; three brothers: Gerhard (and spouse Annie) Oberle, Frank Oberle and George Oberle; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Rudolph Oberle; a sister, Gertrude Vangundy; a granddaughter, Amber Oberle Vangundy; and a grandson, Aaron Jefferson Tesmer.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
