An officer for Warsaw Police Department attempted to stop a Maroon Dodge Durango at about 2:12 a.m. Sunday.
The stop was at the intersection of Parker and U.S. 30 for running a red light.
The vehicle took off on Dubois Drive to Provident Drive, then to Springhill Road, to U.S. 30, to CR 800W, to CR 400N and then to CR 200W where the vehicle started driving through fields of corn, according to Kip Shuter, Warsaw Police Department pubic information officer.
Police lost sight of the vehicle and did not follow in cars.
An Indiana State Police canine was used to track the suspect in the fields but was unsuccessful.
James and Cheryl Moneyheffer are the owners of the fields, according to a press release.
