Wawasee Swimmers Sweep Goshen In Regular-Season Finale
SYRACUSE – Wawasee produced three double-winners on both the boys and girls teams in its Northern Lakes Conference swimming sweep of Goshen Saturday. The Lady Warriors won 98-72 and the Wawasee boys took a 114-69 decision.
Rileigh Atwood won the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke for the Lady Warriors. Ella Park won the 200 and 500 freestyle, and Alyssa Koch won the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke.
Jared Krugman won the 200 and 500 frees for the Warriors. Brady Robinson took the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke and Brett Willaman finished first in the 50 and 100 frees. Dane Jenkins won the diving for Wawasee.
Both the boys and girls teams won their 200 and 400 freestyle relays.
Next up for Wawasee are the NLC meets. The girls competition will begin Thursday with the finals on Saturday. The boys meet is Jan. 25 and 27.

Concord Takes Two From Warsaw
DUNLAP – Warsaw’s swimming teams lost at Concord in Northern Lakes Conference competition Saturday. The Lady Tigers fell 122-64 while the boys lost 107-76 to the Minutemen.
Delaney Wihebrink was the sole winner for the Lady Tigers, taking the 100 breaststroke. She also finished second in the 200 individual medley. Laurel Moeller was second in the 200 freestyle, Morgan Bruner second in the 50 free, Olivia Herman second in the 100 free and Lauren Kuhl second in the backstroke.
Grant Knight won the 100 breaststroke and was second in the 200 IM for the Tigers. Evan Borchers was the winner in the 100 butterfly and took second in the 200 free. Alex Cook had a pair of runner-up finishes in the 50 and 100 frees, and Zach LaLonde was second in the 100 backstroke.
Next up for the Lady Tigers is the NLC Meet that begins Thursday at Northridge in Middlebury. The boys will next compete at Culver Academies Jan. 16.
