Rochester Swimmers Sweep Manchester In TRC Meet
NORTH MANCHESTER – Rochester won both the girls and boys Three Rivers Conference swim meets over host Manchester Thursday. The Zebra boys won 110-35 and the Lady Zebras won 111-54.
The Lady Squire 200 medley relay team of Halle Wampler, Halle Briner, Cora Barnett and Skye Fierstos won in 2:10.07. Briner also won the 100 breaststroke and was second in the 50 freestyle. Wampler was second in the 100 backstroke and third in the 200 IM, and Barnett was second in the 100 butterfly. Lydia Greer was third in the 100 free and Fierstos was third in the 500 freestyle.
Parker York won twice for Manchester, taking the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly. Michael Learned was second in the 200 free, Eric Morales third in the 100 free and Jacob Slavkin was third in the 100 breaststroke.
Manchester will compete in the Twin Lakes Invitational on Saturday.

Braves Sweep Vikes
AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley’s swim teams were swept by visiting Maconaquah in Three Rivers Conference competiton Thursday. The Valley boys dropped a 124-61 decision while the Lady Vikings fell 142-41.
Chase Brower won twice for the Viking boys, taking the 200 and 500 freestyle races. Dakota Prater and Jacob Wagner completed the 1-2-3 sweep in the 500 free for Valley, finishing second and third, respectively.
Mason Stephen and Camden Tucker finished 2-3 in the 100 breaststroke, respectively, and Tucker Shull was third in diving for the Vikings.
Olivia Livengood was the only winner for the Lady Vikings, taking the 500 free. Mayde Fear was second in the 50 free and third in the 100 backstroke. Tiphanie Hodge was third in diving, and Haley Baker third in the 100 free.
Both the Valley teams will compete in the Wawasee Invitational Saturday in Syracuse.
