The Lady Tigers close out NLC round-robin play today when they host Goshen and NorthWood at Stonehenge Golf Club. Squires Shut Out HUNTINGTON – Manchester’s boys tennis team was shut out 5-0 at Huntington North Wednesday. The Squires will play in the West Noble Invitational in Ligonier beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Knox Edges Vikings KNOX – Visiting Tippecanoe Valley won both doubles matches, but Knox won all three singles matches to earn a 3-2 win over the visiting Vikings Wednesday. Dakota Parker and Garrett Feldman needed three sets to win at No. 1 doubles. Dylan Sponseller and Chris Schipper won at No. 2 doubles in straight sets. Wildcats Fall To Heritage SOUTH WHITLEY – Whitko sophomore Chase Castillo scored on a pass from classmate Jose Cordero in the Wildcats’ 8-2 loss to visiting Heritage Wednesday. Wildcat senior Devin Goggin, normally a goalkeeper, scored the other Whitko goal off a pass from sophomore Charlie French. Next up for Whitko is non-conference home match with Mississinewa Saturday at noon.
Wawasee Golf Falls CULVER – Aubrey Schmeltz missed being the medalist by a shot, shooting a 46 in Wawasee’s 193-206 loss to Culver Academies at Mystic Hills Golf Club Wednesday. The Lady Eagles’ Amenda Kurtoff was the medalist with a 45. Wawasee returns to Mystic Hills for the Culver Academies Invitational on Saturday.
