ALBION – The Manchester Squire baseball team scored 37 runs in a doubleheader against Central Noble on Saturday. The Squires won 15-1 in the first game and 22-6 in the second.
In the first game, Manchester tallied 14 hits and gave up four to the Cougars.
Manchester’s Kaleb Fluke and Hayes Sturtsman each had three hits and three RBIs. Mason Roberts had three hits and one RBI. Grant Strobel had three hits and two RBIs. Jeremiah Airgood had two hits and one RBI.
Roberts got the win on the mound for the Squires. He allowed four hits, one earned run, walked one and struck out four.
In the second game, Manchester had 22 hits and gave up 13.
The Squires were up 10-6 in the top of the seventh before scoring 12 runs in the frame.
Roberts had two hits and four RBIs, which were scored on a grand slam. Fluke had three hits, and Meyer had two hits and two RBIs.
Trey McNall, Sturtsman and Strobel all had two hits and two RBIs.
Kyle Shepherd got the win.
Manchester visits Churubusco on Tuesday. First pitch is slated for 5:30 p.m.

Lakers Sink Warriors
LAGRANGE – The Wawasee baseball team lost 3-0 at Lakeland on Saturday.
In the low-hitting contest, the Warriors tallied three hits and the Lakers had four.
Wawasee’s Jairus Boyer, Jacob Garcia and Jake Crousore each had a hit. Boyer had the only extra-base hit for the team.
Cayden Wegener took the loss for the Warriors. He pitched four innings and allowed two runs, three hits, two walks and struck out one batter.
Wawasee plays Fairfield on Thursday in the opening round of the Lakeland Sectional.

Warsaw Splits Two Games In Tiger Tournament
The Warsaw baseball team hosted the Tiger Tournament on Saturday. The Tigers won 8-4 against Fort Wayne Snider and lost 14-1 to Penn.
Against Snider, Warsaw scored three runs in the first two innings and added three more in the fourth to increase the lead.
The Tigers had 12 hits in the game. Brendan Perry led the way with three hits.
Caden Bowers tossed 5-1/3 innings to collect the win for Warsaw.
Against Penn, the Tigers had two hits, while giving up 12 to the Kingsmen.
Penn scored seven runs in the first inning and tacked on three more in the second and third innings.
Warsaw’s Michael Nunez took the loss.
The Tigers play at Homestead tonight for their regular season finale.

Manchester Softball Blanks Warsaw
The Manchester softball team won 5-0 over Warsaw on Saturday.
The Lady Squires held the Lady Tigers to two hits. Warsaw had four errors in the contest.
Manchester’s Mattie McKee earned the win inside the circle. She went seven innings and struck out four.
Warsaw’s Courtney Chookie took the loss. She pitched seven innings and allowed five runs, eight hits and struck out four.
Saylor Bradley and Chookie both had a hit for the Lady Tigers.
Ali Sites had three hits for the Lady Squires.
Warsaw plays Elkhart Central tonight in the opening round of the Elkhart Memorial Sectional. Manchester plays Lewis Cass on Wednesday in the opening round of the Oak Hill Sectional.

Unified Track Sectional
BREMEN – Bremen hosted the Unified Track Sectional on Saturday. Elkhart Memorial, DeKalb and East Noble were sectional champions.
Wawasee finished fourth, Tippecanoe Valley finished in ninth and Warsaw ended in 10th.
For the Warriors, Gavynn Wolferan finished in seventh in Section 1 of the 100-meter dash. He finished in seventh in Flight 1 in the long jump.
Camren Mangun and Jared Gentry finished first and second, respectively, in Section 5 of the 100-meter sprint. Abigail Hackleman ended in fourth in the same heat.
Kenyon Cotton tallied a fifth-place mark in Section 2 of the 400-meter race.
The 4x100 relay of Alex Mathew, Joshua Metcalf, Derek Smith and Noah Wilson finished in third of Section 2. Smith finished first in Flight 1 in the shot put.
Valley’s Addy Miller and Makenzie Oldham finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in Section 3 in the 100.
Cameron Parker finished in first in Section 3 in the 400. He had a fourth-place nod in Flight 1 in the long jump.
For Warsaw, Josh Bradford ended in sixth in Section 1. Jacob Green finished in third in Section 2 in the 400.
The 4x100 relay team of Aaron Brown, Lennon Long, Bradford and Green finished in first with a time of 55.10 seconds.
Emily Gilbertson had a jump of 12 feet, 7 inches in the long jump. Keegan Rice had a throw of 33 feet, 5-1/2 inches in the shot put.
Those who advanced will compete in the Kokomo Regional on May 26.
