SYRACUSE - The Wawasee Warriors hosted Angola Saturday in Syracuse and fell to the Hornets 73-67 in double overtime.

After Angola outscored the Wawasee squad 20-8 in the first quarter, the Warriors manufactured a 20-point second quarter to cut the lead to four. At the end of regulation, Wawasee tied the score at 51 and held on through the first overtime to knot the score at 59. In the end, Angola outscored Wawasee 10-4 in the second overtime period.

Jeremy High and Andrew Packer led the Warriors, scoring 17 points each.

Wawasee, now 0-2, will travel to Dekalb for a game Saturday.

The Triton Trojans traveled to Bremen Saturday, where they fell to the Lions 64-60.

After two quarters of play, Triton led Bremen 32-27, but Bremen made a comeback in the second half to tie the game at 53-53. The Lions outlasted the Trojans in the extra period 11-7 to earn the win.

Brandon Zeider led the Triton squad with 19 points, six rebounds and seven assists while Austin Unterbink added 12 points, five rebounds and six assists.

Triton is now 0-1 on the season and will face NorthWood Friday for the first Trojan home game.
