High Court To Hear Clark Case

Posted
Convicted child killer Ian J. Clark will have his appeal heard by the Indiana State Supreme Court.

On Feb. 27, oral arguments will be made in front of the court as Clark attempts to appeal his conviction in the May 25, 2007, murder of 2-year-old Samantha Muchowicz.

Clark is contending that there was misconduct on the part of prosecuting attorney Steven Hearn and the general way the trial was conducted.

Clark was convicted for the murder of Muchowicz, the daughter of Clark's girlfriend at the time, after the prosecution painted a savage beating the child suffered at the hands of Clark. Clark was then sentenced to life without parole.

The arguments can be seen live online at www.in.gov/judiciary

According to an official with the court, an opinion by the state's high court could take months.
