Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
There will be one less candidate in the May primary election.
George Hester, 920 Anchorage Road, Lot 104, Warsaw, requested the election board remove him from the Democratic ballot for Kosciusko County council at-large.
The election board held an emergency hearing Wednesday to decide whether or not to remove him from the ballot.
After hearing the evidence, the board agreed to take his name off.
That leaves Joe Banks, 1337 N. CR 400E, Warsaw, as the only Democrat running for a county council at-large position.
Republicans have six candidates up for the three at-large seats on the council.
They include incumbent Thomas L. Anglin, 2757 N. CR 875W, Etna Green; Aarron E. Busch, 224 EMS D17 Lane, Syracuse; current coroner Larry E. Ladd, 2350 E. CR 100N, Warsaw; Warren D. Murphy, 507 S. Union St., Warsaw; Robert G. Sanders, 3294 N. CR 600E, Warsaw; and incumbent Larry Teghtmeyer, 4086 E. Forest Glen Ave., Leesburg.
