ROCHESTER - Hermel E. Stevens, 77, of 8995 Francis St., Delong, died at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 30, 2008, in his residence.
He was born Sept. 7, 1931, in Carter County, Ky., to James Harm and Margaret Barker Stevens. On Sept. 28, 1963, in Culver, he married Sharon L. Chaney, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, including Deana Flenner, Mentone; three sons; 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister; and a brother. He was preceded in death by eight siblings.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Brothers Austin Knipp and Eurie Barker officiating. Burial will be in Monterey Riverside Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
