Despite the Warsaw boys tennis team already being knocked out of the postseason, its No. 1 doubles team of junior A.J. Herendeen and freshman Sam Rice are moving right along. Taking part in the individual portion of the state tournament, Herendeen and Rice defeated Maconaquah’s Adam Harts and Chris Ayers 6-3, 6-0 Thursday at Culver Academies. The duo now waits to see how team regional competition goes tonight at Culver Academies to see if they play again in Culver Thursday or will advance straight on to Saturday’s regional in LaPorte.
