Herberta Irene Munson, 93, died at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 5, 2012, in Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She was born April 16, 1919, in Elwood, to Herbert Bucklin and Madeline Ruth Bolinger Robinson. On July 26, 1942, in Warsaw, she married Gael DeFoe Munson Jr., who died April 23, 2004. She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1937 and attended Ball State University for a year. She was co-owner and business manager of Munson Chevrolet. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Order of the Eastern Star and Delta Theta Tau. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She was a cherished friend and will be missed by many. Surviving are two sons, Dee (and spouse Lissa) Munson III and Herbert Anthony “Tony” Munson, all of Warsaw; a daughter, M. Elaine Call, Warsaw; six grandchildren: Nathan Munson, Portland, Ore.; Derek Munson, Indianapolis; Travis Munson, Terre Haute; Tammy (and spouse Scott) Lauschke, Canton, Ohio; and Scott (and spouse Cindy) Silveus and Cameron (and spouse Misty) Silveus, all of Warsaw; six great-grandchildren: Josh, Christopher, Maddie, Sarah, Anna and Mason; and three sisters, Eleanor (and spouse Bob) Gill, San Jose, Calif., and Elizabeth (and spouse George) Plew and Ruth (and spouse Vere) Shenefield, all of Warsaw. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Marguerite Gilliam, who died Feb. 13, 2005, and a brother, Cameron Robinson, who died in 1941 during World War II. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
