MISHAWAKA – Herbert Wayne McDonald, 92, died Aug. 11, 2012.
He was born June 26, 1920, in Mishawaka, to Elwood and Vera Hesch McDonald. On June 29, 1942, in Georgia, he married Helen R. Schmeltz, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter; a son, Richard (and spouse Cheryl) McDonald, of Warsaw; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; and a sister. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka, with Dr. Albert Beutler officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
