Herbert Ross Sr., 87, of Warsaw, died at 9:40 p.m. Jan. 14, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. He was born Feb. 21, 1925, in Kosciusko County, to Jennings and Gladys Bloom Ross. He was a World War II veteran, receiving the Purple Heart. He formerly worked at Huffer Foundry as a molder. Surviving are his children, Wendy (and spouse Chuck) Hill, Steven (and spouse Jacquelene) Ross and Herbert Jr. (and spouse Nancy) Ross, all of Fort Wayne, and Jenneta Ross-Addington, South Bend; a sister, Betty Creviston, Warsaw; and many grandchildren. He is preceded in death by four brothers. A graveside service with military honors will be at a later date. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
