ROCHESTER – Herbert “Bud” Pohlmann, 84, Leiter's Ford, died at 4:55 a.m. Nov. 30, 2013, in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born March 30, 1929, in Chicago, to Ernest Anton and Florence Olsen Pohlmann. He married Bernadette, who survives in Leiter’s Ford. He enlisted with the U.S. Navy. He was assigned to the VF-34, USS Leyte, an aircraft carrier that was positioned in the Mediterranean during the Korean War. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Chaplain Jason See officiating. Military graveside rites will be accorded at the Leiter’s Ford IOOF Cemetery by the Fulton County Honor Guard and the U.S. Navy Honors Team.
