Henrietta R. Koher, 91, of Grace Village, 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, died at 2:40 p.m. Oct. 3, 2008, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.

She was born March 27, 1917, in Kendallville, to Henry Enoch and Freda Ernestine Frurip Reyher. On Aug. 1, 1941, in Napoleon, Ohio, she married Woodward Gerard "Woody" Koher, who died Oct. 25, 2005.

She was a school teacher in Cromwell for a number of years, and taught for Warsaw Community Schools at Jefferson Elementary School for 30 years. She graduated from Ball State Teachers College, Muncie, and later Grace College, Winona Lake, with a master's degree in education.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by a son, Douglas (and spouse Rebecca) Koher, Winona Lake; two granddaughters, Angela (and spouse John) Mataluce, Clearwater, Fla., and Kristi (and spouse John) Vandygriffe, Mishawaka; two grandsons, Mathew (and spouse Angie) Koher, Indianapolis, and Garth (and spouse Danielle) Cole, Cedarburg, Wis.; a son-in-law, Donald Cole, Beaver Dam Lake; three great-granddaughters; six great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisbeth Cole; her parents; a sister, Elizabeth; and a brother, Jacob.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Private calling will be on Friday.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
