Obama employs a simple strategy. He is buying votes.
Forty percent of Americans don't pay taxes. They are already getting the maximum break. Obama's political bribe is to promise them a check in exchange for their vote. He is offering, essentially, the same thing for the remaining 95 percent of Americans earning under 250,000. He will take this payout from the pockets of those who have worked hard, sacrificed, and invested to build businesses that create jobs, pay benefits and drive the economy.
What Obama has failed to point out to his welfare recipients is that they will have to pay back their bribe, and then some, to the very purses from whence it came. Businesses will not stand to be siphoned by a socialist regime if they can help it - and they can. When we, the 95 percent, go to purchase our clothes and food and whatever we (reluctantly) buy from Wal-Mart, we will pay a price that has been hiked to offset the tax hike. Many will not even realize they have been conned. As insult to injury, some will lose their jobs or their benefits, which is just another business defense mechanism to higher taxes.
Our young nation did not rise above others on the socialist philosophy espoused by the extreme left. I have friends who are pro-life, pro-American and pro-character individuals who are ready to compromise their moral convictions if they think an Obama vote might improve, slightly, their material gain. What an irony to sell off personal integrity for a disposable promise that is never realized.
