North Manchester – Helen Rowe, 81, of Columbia City, and formerly of South Whitley, died at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 1, 2011, at her residence. She was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Royalton, Ky., to Hargis and Carsie (Salyers) Marshall. On April 13, 1963, she married the Rev. Dudley Rowe Sr., who died Jan. 21, 2003. She worked at Chamberlain Products, South Whitley, until 1976. Survivors include two sons, Hargis Rowe, North Manchester, and Dudley Rowe, Columbia City; four daughters, Lori Cameron, Darlinda Rowe, Brinda (and spouse James) Rowe, all of of Columbia City, and Margaret Jeanette Abbott, Pawnee, Neb.; a sister, Zaria Ann McKeever, Columbia City; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery.
