NAPPANEE – Helen Miller Tobias, 62, of 854 S. Jackson St., Nappanee, died at 5:18 p.m. July 24, 2011, in her residence after a four-year battle with bone cancer.
She was born Sept. 23, 1948, in Warsaw, Poland, to Stephen and Helen Miller. She married Gerald Hartman, who died Aug. 22, 2010.
She moved to Nappanee from Warsaw, Ind., in 1985. She was a factory worker.
Surviving are a son, Brian Hartman, Nappanee; five grandchildren; five brothers, Richard, Steven, Bob, Harry and Mike Miller, all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and two sisters, Lilly Zika and Diane Groundwater, both of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with the Rev. Tom Schiefer officiating. Cremation will follow the services and burial will be at a later date in Cedar Rapids.
