PIERCETON – Helen Bailey Jones Latta Aldrich, 95, Warsaw, passed away at 3:25 p.m. Dec. 1, 2015, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. She was born June 16, 1920, in Pierceton, to Ralph and Pearl Goppert Bailey. On June 17, 1939, she was united in marriage to Hayden Maxwell Jones, who preceded her in death July 12, 1966. On Oct. 1, 1971, she was united in marriage to Carl “Tuffy” Latta, who preceded her in death Dec. 15, 1987. On Jan. 25, 1990, she was united in marriage to Donald Aldrich, who survives. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County and wintered in Cove Estates, Osteen, Fla. Reed and Murdoch, Pierceton, formerly employed her as a chemist. In addition, she was co-owner of Jones Hardware, Pierceton, and was a real estate agent for Culbertson Realty. Her memberships include Warsaw Moose Auxiliary; American Legion Auxiliary; Pierceton Chamber of Commerce as past president; and Chapman Lake Conservation Club, serving as grand marshal for the 2015 Flotilla. Also surviving are a son, Hayden “Max” (and spouse Mary Carroll) Jones II, Warsaw; a daughter, Mary Lou Jones McFarren, Warsaw; three stepchildren: Steve (and spouse Anne) Aldrich, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Tracey (and spouse Dennis) Brown, Dayton, Ohio; and Claudia (and spouse Rich) Mach, Flint, Mich.; two brothers, Ralph (and spouse Myrna) Bailey, Columbia City, and Donald Bailey, Pierceton; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
