NORTH MANCHESTER – Helen A. Conrad, 88, of North Manchester, died at 2:25 a.m. Sept. 4, 2011, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
She was born March 2, 1923, in Bippus, to Willard F. and Emma Murray Little. On Sept. 7, 1941, she married Frank Robert Conrad, who died Jan. 17, 1997.
She graduated from Chester High School in 1941. She worked at Heckman Bindery for 32 years, retiring in 1985. She also helped her husband on the family farm. She was a member of First Brethren Church, North Manchester, where she was a member of WMS and served as a deaconess for 64 years. She was a charter member of Jolly Janes Home Demonstration Club for more than 50 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Kay and Connie Conrad, both of Fond Du Lac, Wis., and Nancy (and spouse Mike) Berger, Elkhart; three brothers, Norman (and spouse Eileen) Little and Richard (and spouse Phyllis) Little, all of North Manchester; and Robert (and spouse Betty) Little, Jacksonville, Fla.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Timbercrest Chapel, North Manchester, with Pastor Kurt Stout officiating. Burial will be in Laketon Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at Timbercrest Chapel.
