Hearold Jackson, 69, Rochester, formerly of Mentone, died at 1:41 p.m. June 23, 2008, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
He was born Aug. 23, 1939, in Salyersville, Ky., to John F. and Ocie Stanley Jackson.
He lived most of his life in Mentone, and graduated from Silver Lake High School. He was employed by the Warsaw Parks Department, working at the Senior Center; Heckman Bindery; and Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw, for 25 years. He had a passion for auctions. He loved his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons: Brian (and spouse Stacy) Jackson, James Jackson and Duane Van Lue; a daughter, Marcie Alexander; four grandchildren: Tyler, Mason, Kaitlyn and Mylee-Rose Jackson; a brother, Merl Jackson; three sisters: Lallie Spradlin, Imogene (and spouse Chester) Caudill, Maxine Conley; and a companion, Doris Stambaugh.
