The Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club will provide identification kits to families during the Healthfest at the Westminster in Winona Lake April 21. The Healthfest Committee is paying for the first 150 kits. The Breakfast Optimists have enrolled young people throughout the county with the latest technological equipment. The digital identification card, digital video of the subject walking and talking along with digitally recorded fingerprints of all 10 fingers is burned onto a mini-CD. This information, along with pertinent identification information, is encrypted so a police agency can decode it only in the case the youth becomes missing. The Optimists provided this peace of mind without charge to parents. Healthfest Committee members shown presenting the $1,500 check to the ID fundraising chairman of the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club, Everett Nifong (L), are Lynette Pritchett, marketing coordinator, Kosciusko Community Hospital, and Nancy Boston, YMCA senior program director.
