Health Experts To Address COVID-19 Vaccine Questions In Free Webinar

WEST LAFAYETTE – Purdue Extension Health and Human Sciences is putting on a free webinar with representatives from the Purdue University School of Nursing and College of Pharmacy and Indiana University School of Medicine in West Lafayette.

The program, “COVID-19 Vaccines:?What You Need To Know,” is a virtual event set for 1 to 2 p.m. April 1. Registration is not required.

The program will feature short, research-based presentations from the panel followed by a 30-minute question-and-answer session. The panel will focus on the three major vaccines currently available: Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. Panelists will also discuss barriers to getting the vaccines, according to a news release.

Panelists will include Eric Palmer, a clinical assistant professor in the School of Nursing; Nicole Noel, director of Purdue Pharmacy and clinical assistant professor of pharmacy practice; Greg Loomis, assistant professor of neurosurgery of the Indiana University School of Medicine West Lafayette campus; and Siena Cooper, MD candidate at IU School of Medicine West Lafayette and Purdue College of Pharmacy alumna.
